The True Meaning of Sleeping Together

Nothing dirty. Nothing Naughty. Just sleeping. It’s just sleeping with that someone and knowing that they’re in your arms and you’re in theirs. They want to feel close to you. They want to know they are the closest to your heart. They want to hear you breathe when you fall asleep as they sleep next to you. As you fall asleep, you want to cuddle with that someone and just the hold them close. Reviving the JOY in every Christian’s heart..

Scripture: Psalms 119:96

To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.

You FAILED, I FAILED, Everyone FAILS.

Since nothing in this world is perfect, we must face the daily reality that every GOOD and GREAT things would eventually break our heart. Even your greatest dreams can crush your future, your friends can leave you, your spouse will not fail to disappoint you, and your skills and talents won’t always guarantee you success. But when we ran out of hope and options,

Where can we do place our faith at?
How can we be sure that we are pursuing the truth?
Do we achieve perfection when we strive for excellence?
We may begin to doubt our standards—Is this all that is to life? Where is the Joy?

4 Reasons why only God can satisfy—Beyond Expectations, Beyond Perfection. PERIOD.

1. To live a perfect life has a price, and we can only experience it through God’s grace

We have witnessed the end of all perfection. We have limited time, limited knowledge, limited skills and resources. Since all humans has their own limit, all things conceived by men is bound by their own concept, theories, and principles.

But because of God’s grace, despite being sinners and undeserving, He is allowing us to experience His amazing plan for our life.(Ps 32:8) We can be confident that we can be sure of the things we hope for and will bear much fruit..and all we need is FAITH (Heb 11:1). As Adam Clarke explained it,

“All the real or pretended perfection that men can arrive at in this life is nothing when compared with what the law of God requires. This saying is false in itself, and is no meaning of the text. Whatever God requires of man he can, by his grace, work in man.”

2. Only a Perfect being can pave a perfect life for us

The problem with our notion of perfection is that is is already conformed into our standards. We may deemed a perfect life as having lots of money, high grades, lots of achievements, but if we would to compare our lives to to the life of Jesus, then we will see how imperfect we are.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5)

But how can we be sure that we are living according to the will of God?

The Bible is the word of God, it is an extension of God’s infinite wisdom and bears the actual thought of God, it’s essence is boundless. When we start to meditate and reflect on it, we break the limit of ourselves and begin to understand the heart and mind of our creator.

3. Slavery to God is perfect freedom

As we surrender to God’s perfect plan in our lives, we will start to enjoy the freedom that only God can give—-freedom from sin. Most people thought that they have to fight for their freedom, and once they get to do all the things they desire, they will be happy. But absolute freedom is not freedom at all, for the more we indulge ouselves in sin, our consequence is that we will be more ensalved by our sin (Rom 6:19.) Our body will always be restless, seeking for more, until we find no satisfaction in life anymore and will again find another outlet of pleasure and satisfaction.

4. God promises to accomplish his work in us

Every Christian believer is a child of God. Therefore we can be assure that we can rest on God’s love as He finishes the work He has began in our lives. (Ps 138:8)

In Romans 8:28, we are given this promise:

“And we know that God will cause ALL things to work for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.”

We can always enjoy God’s presence. His plans will always delivers, it’s because only God can satisfy the deepest longing of our hearts.

Let us now humble ourselves, that despite being sure of our plans, we have many times stumble on some roadblocks in our lives. In the midst of all our failures, we began to doubt ourselves, our capacity, and we got confuse of our worth. But in our weakest, God’s power works the mightiest. We can always open up our bible and ask the Holy Spirit to help us understand our Supreme God despite our limited thoughts.

God’s word is not something that God had just thought of at the time He was to inspire the writers of the bible. God’s word is eternal, it stands firm in heavens (Ps. 119:89). It’s important to meditate on this truth, that God’s word has always been there, eternal in His mind. Whatever situation you are in right now, you won’t be seeing God panicking how to save you, He knew that you would feel that pain, that anxiety, and He cares so much about how you feel. That’s why He wants you to trust in His law, which are “boundless”, and would endure and continue through all generations. (Ps. 119:90)
